Description
The Compliance Officer, Projects is responsible for leading and coordinating compliance projects, remediation initiatives, breach reporting activities and incident management processes to support the organisation's regulatory and governance obligations. The role works closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure compliance issues, breaches, incidents and regulatory commitments are effectively identified, assessed, reported, managed and remediated through sustainable corrective actions and process improvements.The position manages the end-to-end delivery of compliance-related projects and remediation programs, including the implementation and tracking of actions arising from incidents, breaches, complaints, audits, compliance monitoring activities, regulatory reviews and reportable situations.
What are we looking for?
Demonstrated experience in a Compliance, Regulatory, Governance, Remediation, Advisory or Project role within financial services or another regulated industry
Strong understanding of regulatory obligations, compliance frameworks, governance requirements and industry standards applicable to financial services
Experience providing compliance advice and guidance to business stakeholders on regulatory obligations, compliance requirements and customer outcomes
Experience reviewing and assessing regulatory disclosure and customer-facing documentation including Product Disclosure Statements, application forms, customer communications and related materials
Experience managing and reporting compliance incidents and breaches including the coordination of investigations, remediation activities, regulatory reporting obligations and breach reporting requirements
Experience managing compliance-related projects and initiatives, including project plans, timelines, action registers, stakeholder engagement and reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, compliance assessments, recommendations and stakeholder communications
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines
High attention to detail and the ability to review complex documentation for regulatory compliance and accuracy
