D'Arcy Weil is recruiting a Finance Risk Assurance Partner on behalf of a large APAC business. The position sits within the finance function on a permanent, full-time basis with hybrid working, carrying specialist accountability for first line of defence assurance, risk and governance across the finance team.The purpose of the role is to strengthen and maintain the financial control, governance and risk architecture across APAC Finance — running a disciplined, risk-based assurance programme that gives the business genuine confidence in its control environment and underpins compliance with prudential and regulatory obligations.
The Role
- Help shape the annual risk-based assurance plan for APAC Finance, engaging stakeholders to understand material risks and obligations and building alignment behind the programme of work
- Design and execute control testing that evaluates both the design and operating effectiveness of key financial controls and processes, reporting findings and their implications with clarity
- Partner across every corner of Finance to embed financial control and risk management frameworks, coaching and guiding finance teams on their obligations through ongoing education and monitoring
- Oversee the resolution of assurance findings and incidents, ensuring remediation is timely, durable and properly documented
- Support the finance team's adherence to enterprise policies, prudential standards and regulatory requirements across the ANZ market
- CA or CPA qualified, or approaching completion
- Grounding in financial accounting, external audit or accounting advisory from a Big 4 environment
- Strong technical command of accounting standards and governance and risk frameworks
- Sound commercial judgement, advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with financial systems
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence at senior levels
- Resilient and adaptable, with the analytical sharpness to identify and escalate emerging risks in a complex, evolving environment
- A specialist mandate with visibility across the entire APAC finance function
